Actually, 25 December is the date of the festival honoring the pagan god Mithras. But no matter. Good Friday is my favorite religious holiday, for obvious reasons.
Consider to-day, when you open your gifts, how it is all a fraud, the world you live in.
The economy is built on lies and IOUs, promises to pay that in truth can and will never be redeemed. But the fiction that the debt is backed by a full faith and credit to repay is indulged upon, and our economy and civilization now collapses upon the weight of accumulated generations of deceit.
Christianity can claim a good part of the blame here. After all, if you can convince hundreds of millions to believe in a ghost, a fiction, a fraud, a lie, a con, then it is easy to put anything over upon the masses.
And for that we have witnessed centuries of blood orgy courtesy of our liars in chief, our sociopathic State leaders.
When it is acknowledged that HE IS DEAD, the ultimate lie that shackles and destroys us will be broken and exposed as a sham, and Western civilization can begin to engage the long process of healing and rebuilding.
And instead of the sign of the cross, our world will be symbolized by that ultimate symbol of goodwill and peace:
Merry Christmas, folks.
