Black Friday

Indeed the day is proving to live up to its name.

Casualty count as of this writing: three - one stampeded upon and crushed at a Wal-Mart in Valley Stream, New York; two dead as shooting victims at a Toys "R" Us in Palm Desert, California.

People are dying in the manner appropriate to this banal age: gone shopping. Instead of dodging bullets for freedom, they are slaughtered like sheep as they max out what is left of their tattered credit.

Because we know what really counts to modern day Amerikans: stuff, and lots of it. Keep that fiat money rolling as our freedoms and liberties are reduced and the economy increasingly comes under State hegemony.

They don't call it Black Friday for nothing.

To-day, as demonstrated annually, is living proof that Americans care nothing for what matters, and everything for the trivial, banal, perverse, and mindless.

Any higher morality that this nation may have once possessed now no longer exists. The urgent need to take advantage of that great deal on a 50 inch plasma TV has trumped life itself.

Keep the cheep credit coming, keep the flow of paper currency flowing. No matter how many bodies drop as our only source of 'wealth' is frittered down to nothing in a flood of green bills.
Can't have enough of it.

Keep it coming.
