Urban prairie blues

There are some times when I truly dislike living alone, with my parents and those other few people who care about my existence situated some seventy miles away.

This past week was one of the loneliest of my existence here so far.

Illness has a way of removing oneself from the stream, where one regularly encounters other human beings. Even if you don't know them or speak with them, just having other people around is important for the psyche. At least you understand that you are not actually alone in this world.

The TV is no substitute, at least not for the long term.

The real solution is to keep your valued friends close to you, and find a good and decent woman who loves you and has a kind and caring heart.
