Hooray for freedom

Rarely do I actually sing the praises of a government organization, but that is what I do now as the Supreme Court renders, for once, a wise decision that actually demonstrates a real understanding of gun rights and the Second Amendment.

But don't pop the champagne corks yet. Remember that the government with the power to giveth, is the government with the power to taketh away. Four Supremes did dissent (shamefully); the whim of just one of the Justices in the majority, having decided the opposite way, could have changed history and enveloped us in perpetual darkness.

Scary.

Not that government can legally or morally take rights away, since rights are derived from nature and no entity, particularly the State, has the power to "bestow" them upon anyone. But in Bushamerica, we can take nothing for granted any longer.
