Food glorious food

Being a public sector worker my paycheck may not be very large, but I receive a benefit which is becoming increasingly and vanishingly rare in the modern working world - a full hour lunch hour!

Lunch is definitely the most satisfying meal of the day. It is said that breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal, but I have never really seen a need for breakfast and I don't usually eat one. (Unless I have a real burning desire for a McDonalds bacon/egg/cheese biscuit.) I can even skip a real dinner if necessary. Lunch, however, is an essential.

The region where I live is world famous for its excellent cuisine and a tradition of eating out in style. So I get the best of both worlds here.
