T-P: I-10 expansion in Metairie wrapping up

The eternal quest to accommodate ever expanding volumes of commuter traffic goes on, as the centerpiece portion of the Interstate 10 expansion project approaches completion.

As always in Louisiana, what would take three years elsewhere takes decades here. This is only one of several project sections, most of which remain unfunded.

In a week the Schooner-mobile sets its wheels to the new concrete. Let's pray that someone's brother in law didn't louse this one up.
